February Focus: Gunas

Guna means rope. According to Samkhya (an ancient yoga philosophy), the gunas are forces that bind and control all things. There are three main characteristics, which will correspond to each week's class:

 diggers

1. Satoguna -manifestation, intelligence, creation
2. Rajoguna - activity, energy, preservation
3. Tamoguna- inertia, mass, destruction
4. Prakriti - when all of these exist in a state of equilibrium

Each class we will focus on what each guna represents and how it operates within our daily lives from activity and habits to diet and mood.
